Highfield Male Voice Choir held their Christmas concerts at the Brindley, Runcorn in December 07.  At the Wednesday 19 Dec performance, their Treasurer Barrie Evans presented Pam Eastwood with a cheque for £600 for Radio Halton.  Then in January they sent another cheque for £400!  We're so glad their concerts were so successful!

Green box for your penniesDerry Griffiths raised £40.15 at our Information Stall in June 2007 in our collection box

If you happen to be in the Dining Room on the upper level of Halton General Hospital, you'll see our green collection boxes by the tills, waiting for your spare change

Thank you to all the Dining Room customers and staff for your generosity - the amount collected so far in 2007 from the Dining Room is £6.54

We have a new location for a collection box in Beechwood, Runcorn, in the Beechwood Stores,  thanks to Margaret Longworth for arranging with the shopkeeper

Thanks go to customers in Weston Village Shop, for coins dropped into the Radio Halton collection box on the shop counter.  The amount collected so far in 2007 is £21.14.  You are really helping to make a difference!

Our satellite digibox providing our sustaining service failed in July 2007 and we tried to buy another one.  They aren't available in any of the shops we approached, so we resorted to an internet auction site.   A gentleman had advertised one exactly like ours, for postage costs only.  When we told him it was for hospital radio, he kindly sent it free of charge.  So we are very grateful to Eric Mantell in Essex

Thanks to the Trustees of the Charitable Funds Committee of North Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust for a donation of £1,000 received in April 2007.  This is so much appreciated by our volunteers

David Stearne of David Stearne Pharmacies kindly donated another cheque in November 2006 for over £300 to help us

Thanks to John Doyle, Director of Finance at North Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust for a donation of £1,000 from the Trust's Charitable Fund in April 2006.  This is so very much appreciated by everyone

Thank you to the Halton Hospital League of Friends who donated £2,000 towards the purchase of new 'Myriad' software to run our automated playout.  This means we can provide Radio Halton broadcasts even when no volunteers are present, so we won't be dependent on the satellite sustaining service which sometimes lets us down.  Thanks to Sue and all the committee for deciding to help Radio Halton

Thank you Don Walton, sent to us via BBC Radio Merseyside's CSV "A Team", for helping us out over two evenings to repair our mixer and guest headphone socket.  You gave us your valuable expertise to solve our big technical problem

Pat and Griff of The Texas Travellers kindly included Radio Halton in the distribution of all the fund they've raised for small local charities over the past year.  Many thanks go to Pat, Griff and Derry along with all the dancers, and we are very grateful to receive their £300 cheque

John Spittle of Forshaw Spittles Solicitors donated £300 which will enable us to purchase more of the popular Radio Halton "contour" easy grip pens, which are always in great demand as we go round the hospital wards and clinics!

Karen Dennis of the Neighbourhood Travel Team of Halton Borough Council kindly arranged a donation of £200.  Karen is helping to publicise the Hospital Link door to door bus service for visiting hospital in the evening and weekends.  You can book your journey by ringing up before 3pm on the day of travel.  Find out more on 0151 257 2410

A lovely gent called Roy Brown from Frodsham gave us 20 CDs of Broadway musicals containing many of the songs we are asked to play. Thank you for thinking of us

A BIG "thank you" to Joan, a nurse in Outpatients, who donated several large brown envelopes full of CD's
